About
With 21 years of experience, Thiago Bernardes has performed as a violinist in several public and private events. He is a Violin Teacher at the Tom Jobim Music School | Advanced Pole of the Villa-Lobos School of Music and a Professor of Arts with the Government of the State of Rio de Janeiro. He is currently on leave from both positions in order to live with his wife in the Washington D.C. area.
In addition to the work listed above, he has served as the deputy director and pedagogical coordinator at the Tom Jobim School of Music and worked as a violin teacher at the Finding Talent Project (Arraial do Cabo City Hall), the First Baptist Church of Niterói, the Conservatory of Music of the State of Rio de Janeiro, the Baptist Theological Seminary of Niterói, the Porto da Madama Baptist Church, and the Musi & Canto Course.
Thiago completed his degree in Artistic Education from Salgado de Oliveira University. He also has a postgraduate degree in Knowledge and Practices in Basic Education with an emphasis in Youth and Adult Education (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and a postgraduate degree in History of Modern and Contemporary Art (Universidade Salgado de Oliveira).
In addition to his work in education, Thiago has participated as a violinist in the Orchestra of the First Baptist Church of Niterói, the Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music of Niterói, and the Free Orchestra of Rio de Janeiro.
